AST 4100 series kits are sold as a complete kit including dampers, springs, rear ride height adjusters, and all the hardware needed for installation. Camber plates, and rear shock mounts can be purchased at a significant discount when bundled together with the AST 4100 kit vs. buying them individually. note: The rear shocks are designed to work with a spring in the OEM location. True coilover conversion kits are available for the 4200 & 4300 series rear shocks.
OPTIONS:
CAMBER PLATES:
Adding Camber Plates to this coilover kit is highly recommended. Vorshlag camber plates can be added at a discount to this package. Although Camber plates are recommenced, these AST struts can be used with the OEM upper strut mount for those racers who are restricted by class rules. Easily adjust camber track side with Vorshlag camber/caster plates. Over-sized spherical bearings are designed to withstand the rigors of street and track abuse. All components are plated for maximum corrosion resistance and long life. Ordering this option includes the associated Vorshlag upper spring perches that are to be used with 60mm springs.
REAR SHOCK MOUNTS :
Optional Rear Shock Mounts include AST Spherical design or Heavy Duty rubber E46 M3 style. Spherical RSMs are recommended for most users that see any competition use, such as autocross or track events. If the car is a daily driven vehicle only and/or the user is worried about bad roads and any additional NVH transmitted through a rear spherical mount, then choose the HD rubber style instead. The advantage to spherical RSMs is their ability to transmit reactions to shock forces instantly and direct.
SPRING PACKAGES:
4100 kits come with a standard 80N/mm Front and 120N/mm Rear springs. Custom spring rates can also be supplied with the kit for an extra fee. Just select custom, and then enter your desired rates in the comment field when checking out. Most rates are kept in stock. Contact us for spring rate recommendations for your specific application.
